Dr Whitehead has over fourteen years of sports medicine experience and is currently the Medical Director of Americas Urgent Care in Dublin, OH.

  • He is Board Certified in Primary Care Sports Medicine and Family Medicine
  • Previous team physician for The Ohio State University for over 10 years working with multiple sports including Men’s Ice Hockey and Football
  • Currently the Head Team Physician for Dublin City Schools
  • Prior team physician for multiple schools including Dennison College, Northland High School, Dublin Scioto High School
  • Has participated in medical coverage for multiple sporting events including Olympic Marathon Trials , Columbus City Marathon, Run For The Cure, NHL Preseason Games and many others
  • Co-Founder and former Board Member of Max Sports Medicine Institute and Performance Center
  • Participated as guest speaker in many sports medicine lectures and conferences
  • Co-Author of NIH Grant Application for Physiologic Effects of Anabolic Steroid Use: An Equine Model.
