Mitch Kanter, Ph.D. provides nutrition information, presentations, and dietary protocol for Donskov Strength and Conditioning, Inc. Mitch presently runs his own consulting business, Mitch Kanter Health & Nutrition Insights that caters mostly to food and supplement companies seeking to create healthy foods and beverage offerings, as well as high quality research and education information for their consumers.

Mitch previously spent eight years with Gatorade, where he served as Director of the Gatorade Sports Science Institute. In that role, he made 30-40 presentations per year on various sports nutrition/exercise science topics to athletic trainer organizations, strength coaches, head coaches of various sports, dietitians, and consumers. He also provided nutrition counseling to many world class athletes, including elite Ironman triathlon competitors, and various college and professional hockey, baseball, football, and basketball players. He has provided nutrition counseling to a number of NHL teams, and he served as a nutrition advisor for the Professional Hockey Athletic Trainers Society (PHATS). He has also provided health/nutrition lectures at USA Hockey Level V coaching seminars in Rochester, NY.

Since moving to the Twin Cities in 1998, Mitch has served as the Director of Nutrition Science for the General Mills Company, and as Director of Health and Nutrition and Director of Discovery for Cargill.

Mitch received a Ph.D. degree in Physiology from the Ohio State University, as well as Masters Degrees in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition from Queens College and Ohio State, respectively. He is a former college goaltender (Queens College, NY).
